The Giving Coop

The Giving Coop is a local non-profit business started by Kai. Kai created The Giving Coop to make contributions to local causes by selling her backyard chicken's eggs.

Kai is a high schooler who started raising chickens as pets simply because of her love for animals. After the chickens had begun to lay, Kai soon realized the abundance of eggs was too much for her own family to eat, so she came up with the idea of selling left over eggs.

Kai now donates the money she gets from selling eggs to community causes. What began as a practical solution to an abundance of eggs quickly gained a more meaningful purpose of giving back to the community.

Why buy our eggs?

Why buy from The Giving Coop? Here are a few reasons.

Gravy the chicken
01

We are a local group

The Giving Coop is based in Salt Lake City. By buying from local businesses, you support your local economy. Local eggs are significantly more fresh — no long-distance shipping, no GMOs or harmful chemicals from industrial production, and lower gas emissions.

02

Delivery to your doorstep

The Giving Coop delivers eggs to you! Contact us via email with your order, and we deliver the eggs directly to your doorstep.

03

Farm fresh eggs

Store bought eggs are usually months old by the time they reach shelves. Our eggs come from happy, backyard chickens with a diet of natural nutrients and high-end feed. Access to open yards means strong shells and rich yolks.

Our Impact

The Giving Coop is a business dedicated to making contributions to communal causes such as animal welfare, climate, and societal movements. Help us contribute to these causes by buying our farm fresh eggs!
