About Us

The Giving Coop is a local non-profit business started by Kai. Kai created The Giving Coop to make contributions to local causes by selling her backyard chicken’s eggs.

Kai is a high schooler who started raising chickens as pets simply because of her love for animals. After the chickens had begun to lay, Kai soon realized the abundance of eggs was too much for her own family to eat, so she came up with the idea of selling left over eggs. Kai now donates the money she gets from selling eggs to communal non-profit causes. What began as a practical solution to an abundance of eggs quickly gained a more meaningful purpose of giving back to the community.
